Hello! I recently found your Gawain Project, and decided to share my thoughts about it π
To begin with, lovely story and lovely artwork! I find the linework especially delightful! (your watercolor paintings are fantastic, too) π
I must say I adore your take on the legend in The Darkest Hour. From everything else I’ve read, Uther and Arthur are always the center of attention, and Ygraine doesn’t have a say in the whole thing. There she is always just Arthur’s mother, always overlooked, her opinion and point of view never (clearly) presented. Here, in the prequel of your comic, Ygraine is the protagonist, a living, breathing personage, while Uther is shown in negative light. Certainly an unpopular scenario, but I’m utterly fond of it for its interesting take.
In conclusion: For me, the project is perfect as it is. Thank you for sharing it with the world! I’m eager to learn more about it π
